The Enemies Plan

In the human realm, Soul Wraith and Octoroo met covertly in a dense woodland area.

The menacing Nighlok held the bottle to the moonlight, examining it.

Octoroo began to explain the details of their plan, "once the Kwami is inside, you will have complete control over him and his special attack. You can use his power against the other Rangers to finally destroy them."

"A cunning and evil plan, Octoroo. I must admit, I didn't think you had it in you," Soul Wraith said, a twisted smile forming on his features.

Octoroo continued, "But after you finished off the rangers, bring the kwami back to the Sanzu River, by then the creature will be exhausted and need of nourishment and the potion will be ready for use. We'll use it on the Kwami, reverting him back to the Red Ranger and he will be to exhausted to even fight back."

Meanwhile:

With a sigh as gentle as a fading breeze, Flame Heart turned towards Antonio, his voice a comforting whisper. "You can't blame yourself for what has transpired, Antonio. You're not to blame for any of this."

Yet Antonio seemed unreachable, lost in his own world of regret and sorrow. He lay on his bed, his body rigid with guilt.

His eyes, once full of life and spark when they reunited, were now vacant and dull, gazing emptily at the ceiling.

"But it is my fault," Antonio whispered in a voice that was barely audible, his guilt palpable in the silence. "I failed to protect you, and now, you don't ever remember yourself or our friends. You've been turned into a strange creature of unknown origins and I can't even turn you back with my symbol power!"

Despite Antonio's outburst, Flame Heart descended until he hovered at the same height with Antonio.

His words were a soft whisper in the heavy silence. "Antonio, I may have lost my memories, but I'm still here. I'm still Jayden. No matter what shape I take, I'll always be your friend."

Antonio maintained his silent vigil, his gaze fixed on the ceiling. "If only I had been a more skilled ranger, none of this would have happened."

"Antonio," Flame Heart interjected, his tone firm, "you're the most proficient ranger I've ever known. I am sure I have said this before, haven't I?"

With a weary sigh, Antonio responded. "Yes, you have. But I never really believed it."

Regardless of Flame Heart's reassuring words, Antonio's sorrow remained a heavy shroud around him.

Seeing his friend's continued distress, Flame Heart decided to change his approach. Pretending to falter in mid-air, he began to pant dramatically.

Antonio's instincts kicked in, his hand shooting out to catch the falling kwami as Flame Heart landed in his palm.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concern replacing his previous desolation.

"I'm fine, just feeling a little peckish. Perhaps we could continue this over some sardines?" Flame Heart asked, his tone light.

Despite his lingering sorrow, Antonio found himself nodding as he rose from his bed, is focus shifted from his guilt to his duty to care for Flame Heart.
